Sweet home Chicago!! What a great welcome home, The Green Mill was filled to overflow capacity. I got to reunite with one of my wonderful musical mentors Guitarist Henry Johnson. Ernie Adams, Dennis Carroll and Jeremy Kahn created a powerhouse rhythm section. The Mill is a Chicago institution Mondays with Patricia Barber and Wednesdays with my gut Kurt Elling. He and I got our start under the tutelage of Sax giant Von Freeman at a little Southside joint called Bayjee Man’s. Vonsky is the man!!
