Do I Move You? is my latest Album.
This project is born out of a journey I’ve needed to take for a long time. The pandemic afforded me the time for artistic introspection and reflection.
I started to think about all my influences. The music that influenced me as a young girl and flowed through my veins like thered clay of Mississippi where I was born.
I think this will be one of my most personal projects to date.
The music that came up from Mississippi during the great migration, marinated in Blues, Gospel and R & B, and that created that Chicago Jazz sound. It’s like no place else.
I want to apply that sound… that marinade to songs I felt would resonate with the you.
