Hoppin is right. Had to get up early to warm up my voice. With 2 shows in one day you have to keep your voice nimble and relaxed. I always tell my students singing is just talking on a melody. THE BLUE NOTE !! My goodness the history of this place is awesome. I felt so relaxed and with two receptive crowds they made it so easy. The songs of the day were ” Stormy Weather” and “At Last”. Some fans and my family came in from Chicago for this shows, it was great to see some familiar faces in the audience.
